We are sorry you are having problems with accessing the PRC

 

To login, the Pilot Resource Center (PRC) requires that you create an account.  This account is NOT the same as your VATSIM Membership account.

 

When applying for a PRC account:

  1. Start on the RIGHT side of the login page and click the “Create PRC Account” button.
  2. You must enter your VATSIM membership ID and the password you choose (Write It Down).  We do not recommend using your VATSIM password.
  3. The PRC will validate you as a VATSIM member and pull your VATSIM email address from the VATSIM Membership database.
  4. A confirmation email will be sent to that email address.
  5. The email contains a link that you must click to activate your PRC account and log you onto the PRC website.
  6. Enroll in the course.
  7. On future visits, you will use the left side of the login page and enter your VATSIM ID and the password you selected above in step 2.

 

 

Here are some common login problems that users experience

 

Number 1 Problem - VATSIM email address not current or suspected as not current

Access the VATSIM Membership Registration ID Maintenance page http://vatsim.net/cert.html Ensure your VATSIM registered email is correct and/or complete the Change Email Address form.  You will have to change/update your VATSIM email address before being able to secure an account for the PRC.  Your email address cannot be changed from the PRC site. 

If you have already attempted to create a PRC account with an old VATSIM email address:

  1. You must update your VATSIM email address http://vatsim.net/cert.html
  2. Contact the PRC support team on prc@vatsim.net and request your account to be reset
  3. After receiving a reply from the PRC staff, you will need to repeat the account application process (see “When applying for a PRC account” above).

 

Number 2 Problem - SPAM Blocking Software

The confirmation letter, containing the link you must click to activate your PRC account, is sent via email by an automated system.  If you are using SPAM processing software, you MUST disable it or otherwise open it to emails from @vatsim.net addresses. If you do not, you will be unable to access the PRC.

 

VATSIM account not current or VATSIM user ID not known

Access the VATSIM Membership Registration ID Maintenance page http://vatsim.net/cert.html and choose the function that applies to you.  If you are unable to set your VATSIM account straight using the links on that page, contact the VATSIM Membership Department via the link provided there.

 

Trying to log in for the first time from the wrong section of the PRC Login page

If you have not created a PRC account, you cannot log directly onto the PRC from the left side of the page.  Follow the steps listed above to create a new PRC account.

 

Confirmation email not received and the VATSIM email address is and has been current

The confirmation email should be received within 5 minutes or so, often much faster.  There are some members who have reported not receiving the email.  Some of the reasons are that mail security software block the incoming vatsim.net mail.  If you do not receive a confirmation email, the problem blocking it must first be addressed by you.  After the block has been resolved, contact the PRC Support group at the address on the bottom of this window.  Your account will have to be reset so you can repeat the “Create PRC Account” steps.

 

Forgot your PRC password

Click the “Send my details via email” button on the left side of the PRC login page.  Your password will be reset and can only be sent to your valid VATSIM email address.  You cannot succeed in changing your email address from anywhere within the PRC.  Another email will be sent to you containing a link to get back on the PRC.  Once back on the PRC, click your name in the upper right corner of the screen and click the “Edit profile” button to reselect your password to one of your choosing.
